Technical training on “GIS”

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, NAfCOAST and Cartologic organized an online training course on “GIS and GeoNode” for the project partners Egypt, Tunisia, Mauritania and Morocco.

Course Duration:

8 days

Course Overview:

Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze and manage data. GIS has the ability to combine and analyze geographic and non-geographic data in order to solve real-world location problems. GIS is a new science relatively. However, it has many applications in almost all fields such as Agriculture, Military, Petroleum, Marketing, etc. In this Module, we delivered  GIS concepts, geographic data and GIS applications.
